A weekly reset does not have to mean cleaning the whole house at once. Choose a regular time and begin with the spaces you see and use most often.

Return the things that wandered

Carry a basket through the living room, bedroom and kitchen. Collect only the things that belong elsewhere, then put them back. If an item has no obvious home, set it aside to decide later.

Clear the busiest surfaces

Tidy the dining table, kitchen counter and bathroom sink. Put objects away before wiping down the surface so you do not keep moving them while you clean.

Notice what keeps happening

  • Which items pile up again every week?
  • Is their storage place too far from where they are used?
  • Do you have duplicates you no longer need?

Choose one recurring problem to address next week. A small change that makes daily life easier often lasts longer than a dramatic one-day clear-out.
